Who runs this site

There is no celebrity reviewer here, and we are not going to invent one. A program reads the operators’ own pages, published rules decide what happens to what it reads, and the editorial desk answers for both. All three are described below, because a rating next to someone else’s bonus is worth exactly as much as the method behind it.

The editorial desk

Everything on this site is either a sentence copied from an operator’s own page or a number worked out from those sentences by a formula we publish. That is a deliberate limit: it means nothing here depends on how much we happen to like a brand, and it means you can check any claim without taking our word for it.

  • Every figure is traceable. Open any promotion and the sentence it came from is quoted beside it — then open the operator’s page and find that sentence.
  • Nothing is scored by hand. The method is published in full, and individual ratings are never adjusted.
  • A missing value stays missing. Where an operator does not state something, we show a dash rather than an estimate.

Corrections and complaints: [email protected]. A wrong figure is a bug, and it gets fixed the day it is reported.

What the program does

Operators change their promotion pages constantly, and no person can reread 1385 of them every day. So a program does it: it opens each operator’s own promotion page, copies the sentences that state the conditions, and records them with the wording intact. Every figure shown on this site comes from one of those sentences — 33,472 of them are stored right now, and you can see the original wording next to each value on a promotion’s page.

The program is not allowed to summarise, round or guess. Where an operator states nothing, the cell stays empty instead of being filled in. That rule is the whole reason this site exists.

Where the money comes from

Some links to operators earn a commission. It does not buy a place in the tables, a rating or a badge: the order is worked out from the published terms, and the same arithmetic runs for every operator, paying or not. If that ever stops being true, this paragraph will change first.
