Cookie policy
UK Bonus sets no advertising or profiling cookies. Visits are counted with Google Analytics, and its two cookies are set when the page opens. Refuse below and it is switched off for you: no more data is sent and the cookies are deleted from your device. Your answer itself is remembered, so that we do not ask again.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels, device fingerprinting — do the same job in a different way, and the rules treat them the same. In the UK they are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) together with the UK GDPR.
The rule is simple: anything that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for may only be placed on your device after you agree to it, and refusing must be as easy as agreeing.
2. What this site actually uses
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one browser from another so visits can be counted in aggregate | 2 years | Measurement |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of a single visit for the same counting | 2 years | Measurement |
Stored in your browser
| Name | Purpose | Expiry | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
ukbonus_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so the banner is not shown again | Until you clear your browser storage | Strictly necessary |
This entry is strictly necessary in the legal sense: it exists only because you answered the banner, and it records that answer. It contains no identifier, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
3. How the measurement works
We want to know which pages are read, in aggregate, to decide what to improve. That is done with Google Analytics, and it starts when the page loads, before you answer the banner — which is why the two cookies above may already be on your device by the time you read this.
If you refuse, three things happen at once: the tag is switched off for this browser, Google is told that storage is denied, and the cookies it has written are deleted. Nothing further is sent, on this visit or on any later one, until you change your mind with the button below.
What is measured is which pages are opened and roughly where from — not who you are. We do not upload email addresses or anything you typed into the site to Google, nothing is used to build a profile of you, and no advertising is served here.
4. Other people’s cookies
When you follow a link to a gambling operator, you leave this site. That operator sets its own cookies under its own policy, and we have no control over them and no access to what they collect. The same applies to the support organisations we link to. Their policies are on their own sites.
5. How to change your mind
Use the button below to reopen the banner and change your answer at any time.
You can also control storage in your browser directly, which works for every site you visit:
Clearing site data will also remove the record of your choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit. That is the banner working as intended, not an error.
6. Questions
Write to [email protected]. How we handle personal data in general is set out in the privacy policy; if you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
