1. What a promotion really is
Every promotion on this site is marketing. It is designed to make you deposit, play longer or come back — not to make you money. Wagering requirements, maximum wins, game weightings and expiry dates all work in the operator’s favour, and over time the operator wins. That is the business model, and it is why the conditions are shown next to every offer instead of only the headline number.
Treat any money you gamble as the price of entertainment you have already decided to pay, and never as income or a way to recover a loss.
2. Signs worth taking seriously
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably lose.
- Chasing losses — playing on to win back what has gone.
- Borrowing, selling things or using money meant for bills in order to gamble.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Gambling to escape stress, loneliness or low mood.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or guilty about it, or unable to stop when you try.
Any one of these is reason enough to use the tools below. You do not have to be in crisis to ask for help.
3. Tools you can use today
| Tool | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| GAMSTOP | One registration blocks you from every operator licensed in Great Britain for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. It cannot be undone early. | gamstop.co.uk |
| Deposit limits | A cap per day, week or month in your account. Lowering it takes effect at once; raising it must wait. | In the operator’s account settings |
| Time-out | Locks the account for 24 hours up to 6 weeks. | In the account settings |
| Self-exclusion with one operator | Closes your account there for at least 6 months, and stops their marketing. | In the account settings or via support |
| Blocking software | Blocks gambling sites and apps on your devices — for example Gamban or BetBlocker, both free through GamCare in many cases. | gamban.com, betblocker.org |
| Bank card gambling block | Most UK banks can refuse gambling transactions, often with a cooling-off period before it can be lifted. | In your banking app |
Licensed operators must offer deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, reality checks and a clear account history. If one makes that hard to find, that itself is a warning sign.

5. Knowing the rules protects you
In Great Britain gambling is regulated by the Gambling Commission. Licensed operators must verify your age and identity, keep your funds separate, advertise honestly and treat you fairly. You can check a licence on the Commission’s register: registers.gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
If an operator refuses a withdrawal or a promotion unfairly, first use its complaints procedure, then take the case to its alternative dispute resolution provider — it must name one. Disputes are between you and the operator; this site has no power over them.
6. How this affects what we publish
We show the conditions of a promotion, not just its headline, and we mark clearly when an operator does not state something. We do not present gambling as a way to make money, we do not target anyone under 18, and we do not use urgency or pressure to get you to claim an offer.
